About
Spargo Studios formally established itself in 2020 to present its’ portfolio of work generated over the last 20 years. My initial work in photography began in 1972 with my first 35 mm camera. A Ricoh, which did me well for a number of years of black and white prints and slide photos. In about the year 1995 I bought my first digital camera - a Minolta - which serviced my digital learning process up until Minolta was bought by Sony. Soon after the transition to Sony I was in need of a service on my Minolta and sent it to the Sony Service center. Instead of servicing my Minolta, they sent me a brand new Sony digital Camera and I have been a Sony user ever since. I went through their DSLR’s all the way up to the Alpha 99ii (which I still have) which was a workhorse until the mirror-less cameras came on the scene. I purchased an early 7 series and I currently use both the A7iii and the A7riv. I still use the excellent A-mount lenses with a converter on my A7 cameras with excellent results. What you will see here is a compilation of a body of work covering about 20 years of travel photography.
